Service Agreement
As a Northern Paws Dog Walking client, I (the “Customer”, “Client”) understand and agree that:

1) I agree that I am responsible for ensuring that my pet's vaccinations are up to date, including DHPP and rabies or titer tests. I can provide supporting documentation if required. I understand that a failure to produce supporting documents upon request will result in immediate termination of contract.

2) I authorize Northern Paws Dog Walking to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be reasonably necessary during the time spent with my pet. I accept responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care. I also authorize Northern Paws Dog Walking to utilize an alternative veterinarian in the event my primary veterinarian is unavailable. Every effort will be made to contact me at my provided emergency contact number prior to obtaining emergency care.

3) Northern Paws Dog Walking reserves the right to cancel or reduce the duration of services due to inclement weather that would be a danger to our employees and/or your pet. There will be no fee for cancellations on the part of Northern Paws Dog Walking. Reduced duration of services will either be discounted or consist of a relief walk and quality time indoors for full price.

4) I understand and agree that the amount of time I book for any Northern Paws Dog Walking service, includes any additional time required by the dog walker to access the home, send the journal update and prepare my dog(s) for the walk (or clean my dog when the walk ends). This includes routines such as placing clothing / booties (outdoor wear) on my dog, feedings, cleaning, and any other requests.

5) I understand that I am required to have a credit card on file for Northern Paws Dog Walking. Cash and e-transfer payments are not accepted. Prepayment is required. Invoices are sent on Fridays for pet care services scheduled the following week. Payment is automatically processed using the credit card on file the following Monday.

6) Last-minute appointments that are booked less than 24 hours in advance incur a $10 late booking fee. All services provided on weekends will be charged an additional $10 fee and statutory holidays an additional $15 fee.

7) Cancellations made after 12pm the business day prior will be charged at full cost. No refunds will be issued. If the cancellation occurs after the prepayment but before 12pm the business days prior to the service a credit is applied to your account and automatically applied to your next invoice.

8) I understand a key lockbox or door code is required unless I am in an apartment/condo and it's not possible to have a lockbox on my door, left with the concierge or dedicated lockbox area. In the case where a lockbox can't be left, I will leave 3 copies of my key.

9) If you discontinue services we can return your key for a $15 key pick up/drop off fee or safely dispose of it. If no services are booked for 6 months we reserve the right to safely dispose of your key. We will notify you before doing so.

10) I understand that if Northern Paws Dog Walking cannot access my home using the key, lock box, key fob, or access code provided to them, they will attempt to contact me and access the home for up to fifteen minutes. After 15 minutes, the walker may leave the property without continuing the service, and that I will still be responsible for payment in full. I understand that I will be notified immediately if the walker cannot complete service for any reason. If Northern Paws Dog Walking is able to gain access to my home after 10-15 minutes of attempting to do so, the time it took to coordinate access will be deducted from the total service time.

11) All service requests must be made online by logging into my Precise Pet Care account, and not by texting or emailing my dog walker or Northern Paws Dog Walking management. Only those requests that are made online can be confirmed and guaranteed.

12) Northern Paws Dog Walking is a team based company and reserves the right to change dog walkers without prior notice. I understand and agree that the dog walker may not be the same each time.

13) In consideration of Northern Paws Dog Walking services and as an express condition thereof I expressly waive and relinquish any and all claims against Northern Paws Dog Walking , its employees and contractors whatsoever and howsoever arising excepting only those arising from proven deliberate negligence of the dog walker.

14) I will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the dog walker or other persons or animals by the pet(s). I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Northern Paws Dog Walking in the event of a claim by any person for injury to any person or animal by my pet(s).

15) It is expressly agreed that Northern Paws Dog Walking shall not be held responsible for any damage to my property or that of others caused by my pet(s) during the period in which they are in Northern Paws Dog Walking care.

16) I agree to allow Northern Paws Dog Walking to use my pet's name and any images or videos taken while they are in the care of Northern Paws Dog Walking on social media, our website or any other promotional materials

17) I agree to be sent marketing emails from Northern Paws Dog Walking. I can unsubscribe at the bottom of the email at any time.

Veterinary Treatment Authorization

This authorization will remain on file and only be used in the event your pet requires treatment during your absence and we are unable to reach you. Every attempt will be made to reach you first at your provided emergency number. Your signature is required to authorize treatment.

Northern Paws Dog Walking may utilize the services of any available veterinary clinic. If time permits, we will attempt to utilize your primary veterinary clinic. If it is not practical to do so, the following information (in the pet details) will be helpful if the clinic we utilize requires documentation from your primary clinic.

To whom it may concern:

I have contracted Northern Paws Dog Walking in my absence. I authorize Northern Paws Dog Walking to transport my pets to my veterinarian (or to an emergency clinic) on my behalf and to request veterinary treatment when they deem it necessary. I accept full responsibility for charges incurred in the treatment of my pet(s).

I authorize veterinary treatment for my animal(s) in my absence. I understand that Northern Paws Dog Walking assumes no responsibility for the loss of any pet and is released from all liability related to transportation, treatment and expense. I will make arrangements with your office to pay all charges and fees that incurred on my behalf, immediately upon my return.
